AIR FRANCE SUCKS!!!!

It started off well enough...

Stellan, his godfather Giorgio and I were comfortably chauffeured to Roissy CDG by my friend, Sabrina and thanks to the little prince, we were able to cut through the security lines, etc.

The Boeing 747 taxied out to the runway at 10:30 and Stellan was all ready to take his first flight. Then came the announcement that due to a fuel leakage on the right wing, we would be delayed for repair works. About three hours later, Air France announced that the technical team had resolved the problem but by this time, some passengers had decided to disembark and due to this latest development, it would be another hour and a half for them to remove their checked baggage from the luggage hold.

The plane taxied back out and once again, we prepared for take off except.....

.....the plane was still leaking fuel (see pool of leakage above) and there was also a problem with one of the motors.

To make a long story short, we spent 10 hours trapped on this plane with nothing but hard breadrolls, the mini bags of snack bites and two measley plastic cups of water. Giorgio and I did our best to amuse Stellan during the extended wait, bouncing him between the two of us as the space for moving around was limited.

In addition to the lack of communication, indecisiveness and utter ineptitude of the Air France management, never once did an air hostess even offer to install the bassinet for Stellan and still, he behaved himself (better than most of 400+ other passengers, I might add).
