last weekend's kiddie birthday party was full of action and about 5 adults per child to keep things under control.

Stellan's First Birthday!!!
apologies for those who have been waiting for new posts but we've had our hands full, literally.
unfortunately, the birthday boy was moving around so much in his excitement that these were the few pics that didn't come out blurry. not to fear, christian will be blogging some other photos and zio giorgio will also be forwarding some pics to us to blog so stay tuned......
so here is the one year old birthday boy!!!!
mum finally got me some gel so we could coiff a real mohawk!
a totally decadent "puits d'amour" cake from our favourite patisserie, stohrer
with a little help from por por and while big brother pierre watches proudly, stellan blows out the candle.

PICCOLO PRINCIPE

not only does the little prince have a silver spoon but stellan received his own monogrammed sterling cutlery set from his zio roberto. as if having a food-obsessed mother were not enough to make him a foodie baby!
it's my party! while mummy and daddy were entertaining friends for dinner, stellan was having a party on his own to celebrate his 10 month birthday. not wanting to go back to sleep just yet, he played by himself while watching baby einstein.

Meanwhile back in Paris.....
they may look like mini star-crossed lovers but really, eden and stellan are just staring one another down for the dangling orange teething toy!daddy was working so vincent did the honours of helping stellan go down the slide. ever eager to stand, he did not realise that he has to lift his feet up otherwise, he'll get stuck mid-way because of the rubber soles of his converse all-stars.

Sunday Night Dinner
on sunday night, we celebrated dad's 71st birthday and also introduced stellan to many of our nearest and dearest in toronto.
with the vast choice of laps to sit on and arms to hold him, he not only charmed all the guests but stayed amused enough for his mum to get through a 3 hour plus, 10 course chinese dinner!

Truly Canadian Experience
Stellan enjoyed his first truly Canadian experience this weekend at the home of his Uncles Rowley and Blake, who hosted a serious barbeque complete with 1" thick steaks, sweet corn and an added surf 'n turf touch - mussels!

Air France 352
Stellan made his third transatlantic flight on Friday (11/7) from Paris to Toronto. With mum, dad and big brother to amuse him, he was just as well behaved as the previous crossings.

You know those cold, hard as hell bread rolls that they serve on the airlines? Well, at least one little passenger enjoys knawing on the crust. Check out the crumbs around his face and shirt :-)
(what cannot be seen here are the crumbs that fell into the folds of his neck!!!)

VIP Guest
Before leaving Paris last week, Stellan got to spend some time with his Auntie Joce, who was in town for business from Tokyo.
She came especially on this particular evening to be photographed with this little punum so we could blog them as she has been following funkypastry and single-neuron avidly from Japan.
