Bundled Up
Stellan is wondering how he got from being the Calvin Klein underwear model on the beach to woolie hats and triple layers of clothing?

World Class Traveller

Stellan in his bassinet earned his wings on this AF090 flight from hell! He barely made a peep the entire flight, even sleeping through the turbulence. Zio Giorgio deemed him ready to take the 24 hour trip down to OZ or New Zealand next.
Arriving in Miami International airport 20 hours later, the majority of the other passengers passing us stopped to compliment our little prince on his behaviour.
AIR FRANCE SUCKS!!!!
It started off well enough...
Stellan, his godfather Giorgio and I were comfortably chauffeured to Roissy CDG by my friend, Sabrina and thanks to the little prince, we were able to cut through the security lines, etc.
The Boeing 747 taxied out to the runway at 10:30 and Stellan was all ready to take his first flight. Then came the announcement that due to a fuel leakage on the right wing, we would be delayed for repair works. About three hours later, Air France announced that the technical team had resolved the problem but by this time, some passengers had decided to disembark and due to this latest development, it would be another hour and a half for them to remove their checked baggage from the luggage hold.
The plane taxied back out and once again, we prepared for take off except.....
.....the plane was still leaking fuel (see pool of leakage above) and there was also a problem with one of the motors.
To make a long story short, we spent 10 hours trapped on this plane with nothing but hard breadrolls, the mini bags of snack bites and two measley plastic cups of water. Giorgio and I did our best to amuse Stellan during the extended wait, bouncing him between the two of us as the space for moving around was limited.
In addition to the lack of communication, indecisiveness and utter ineptitude of the Air France management, never once did an air hostess even offer to install the bassinet for Stellan and still, he behaved himself (better than most of 400+ other passengers, I might add).

JUST LIKE HEAVEN!
robert smith
it was on the very short shortlist of possible names, if we hadn't decided upon - stellan.
(btw, mark still hasn't forgiven me for not calling his nephew robert smith kirk-jensen)
the concert last night at bercy was out of this world and i re-lived some very significant, happy moments between ages 18-22 years old: flashes of mark nicking my eyeliner, lipstick and teasing his hair up, blasting the 10:15 saturday night through the hallways of duchesne west dormitory on friday afternoons/evenings during freshman year with my roommate, kerry.
it began with "the end of the world" wove in the classics like , pictures of you (couldn't that intro be stretched forever?), primary, kyoto song, the walk, a forest, killing an arab, boys don't cry to pop favourites - just like heaven, lovecats, close to me. even 10:15 saturday night, a song that i didn't think would make the playlist was performed in the second of the third encores.
even the usually reserved french audience seemed to show a little more enthusiasm than they usually do and thanks to my friend nadia, i felt quite at ease to dance & squirm my way through the entire show!

NAMASTE
look at this PUNUM!
due to technical difficulties at the end of last week, we were unable to publish any new pictures but here is a look now at what stellan has been up to since last wednesday.

"Will you look at this punum? (face in yiddish) exclaimed florence, the quintessential jewish grandmother on friday afternoon when we stopped by david's showroom.

Growing Up and Out
Publish Post
Normally, Stellan doesn't mind going to see Dr. Verjans whose jolly nature, he finds reassuring.....however, a few minutes after this shot was taken, he was significantly less enthusiastic about his pediatrician who gave him two vaccination shots.
As of today, Stellan measures 65 cm and weighs 6.8 kgs.
